Bulk UC-One assignment


Step 1: Select users

The wizard allows you to Add, remove, or replace both individual services or service packs in bulk for users.

1. Run User Wizard

Allows you to select the Service Provider / Enterprise and Group Users are assigned to

IMPORTANT: If users were selected for a prior bulk task, they will remain selected. You can click on the user selected dropdown to run wizard again.


2. A .csv template containing User IDs can also be uploaded.

    • Templates are available for download at the beginning of the bulk section.


Step 2: Select device

A UC-One device type / profile is used to configure the type of UC-One client to be configured.

1. Select one or more than one device type to be configured for UC-One

NOTE: A UC-One device type / profile list is auto generated from a lookup / availability at the Group level.

Typical device types are:

    • Mobile

    • PC

    • Tablet

2. Click Next


Step 3: Select endpoint

An endpoint is either standalone client or additional device that will share the user’s primary line (i.e. a shared call appearance).

1. Define a device name for the UC-One client.

2. Define a line port for the UC-One client

NOTE: You may use tags to dynamically construct your user IDs.

3. By default, the additional options will be checked for you:

    • Enable this location

    • Allow Origination from this location

    • All Termination to this location

4. Click Save


Step 4: Select services

Additional services license are required by BroadWorks in order for UC-One to configured. A lookup will be performed to see if required license are available within the group and allow assignment during this step.

1. If no additional license are required:

    • Skip User Services

    • Skip Service Packs

2. If additional license are required:

    • Add User Services individually

    • Add Service Packs

NOTE: If ‘Add Service Pack’ is selected, a lookup will be performed when selected and the the table of required services will be updated accordingly.

3. Click Next


Step 5: Settings

Configuration settings for UC-One can be setup at this step in the process


NOTE: Depending on additional license assigned, some options below may not apply.

1. Additional settings may include:

    • Alert all for click-to-dial calls

    • Alert all for group paging calls

    • Allow call retrieve from another location

    • Multiple call arrangement active

    • Allow bridging between locations

    • Enable call park notification

    • Bridge Warning Tone

    • Enable Integrated IM&P (Instant Messaging & Presence)


2. After clicking ‘next’ - a preview page will be presented to allow for edits.


3. After preview is reviewed, click ‘submit task’



Step 6: Preview & submit

Prior to being submitted to BroadWorks, you will get the chance to preview and make any edits.

Edit may be done inline on the table on the screen and / or the ability to download a .csv file and upload at a later time.
